In the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic, I thought it would be appropriate to provide you with some non-invasive, natural, centuries-old proven techniques to help you cope, while maintaining your health - both mental and physical.
During this quest to identify and utilize proven holistic, noninvasive therapies, as well as state-of-the-art devices and procedures to enhance my self-healing; I have recently learned about the ancient practice of Energy Medicine.
Recently I’ve been working with an energy medicine practitioner, Teresa Lake, owner of Lake Healing Center, who has used her extensive experience to not only work on me in her clinic, but to teach me these techniques to use daily at home. You will “meet” Teresa (via videos) at the end of this article. She’s amazing - as a person and a practitioner! I’m happy to be able to present her to you!
I’ve been amazed at how much better I feel! It’s been a rewarding journey, and I feel I’ve made a new friend - Teresa!
There are 3 videos. There’s no need to watch all 3 at once, as it may be too tiring to do so. Just take your time. Before I share Teresa’s videos with you, I’d like to provide you with some excerpts from a book Teresa suggested I read, written by Donna Eden, an expert in the field of Energy Medicine. The name of the book is, “The Little Book of Energy Medicine: The Essential Guide to Balancing Your Body’s Energies.” It’s fairly short and easy to read. Here it goes...
Nobel prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein’s formula E equals MC squared boils down to a simple concept: energy is all there is!
There are two types of energy:
1) there is flowing energy (what we usually simply think of as Energy);
2) congealed energy (Matter)
Everything in nature is one or the other – a mind-bending concept!
Energy animates every cell and organ in your body.
It is the life force and, put simply: when you have it, you are alive; when you don’t you aren’t.
Your body’s relationship to this essential energy of nature has been evolving for millions of years.
The energies that govern the way your body functions direct your immune system, hormones, and everything else that keeps you alive as decisively as a magnet will organize iron filings into distinct patterns.
These energies have an amazing intelligence. They are much smarter than your intellect in keeping you healthy and repairing you if you become ill.
That said, you can mobilize your energies to keep your body and mind humming at their best.
That is what energy medicine does.
“Energy medicine” is your body's best medicine.
Flow, balance, and harmony can be non-invasively restored and maintained within your bodies energy system by:
Tapping, massaging, or holding specific energy points on the skin.
Tracing or swirling your hand above your skin along specific energy.
Pathways
Practicing exercises or postures designed to bring a feeling of calm and renewal.
Surrounding an area with healing energies.
Just as there are different types of drugstore medicines, there are different types of energy medicine.
Many can be traced back to ancient healing traditions such as yoga, qi gong, shiatsu, and acupuncture.
Energy medicine is both a complement to other approaches to medical care and a complete system of self-care and self health.
It can address physical illness and emotional or mental disorders, as well as promote high-level wellness and pick performance.
A few of the possibilities with energy medicine are:
Improving hormonal and balances that cause hot flashes, sleep disturbance, or anxiety.
Combating everyday elements such as headaches and high blood pressure.
Practicing energy techniques that counter psychological problems such as depression, mood swings, anger, and stress.
Identifying and utilizing meridian points like acupuncture.
Being able to teach family, friends, and clients ways of maintaining improving their own energy balance.
As promised, the three videos that follow have been provided for us stroke survivors, by Teresa. You will find them interesting and helpful - enjoy!
