Glacier Park Lodge, 2019

Glacier Park Lodge, 2019

This is the transport vehicle for Glacier Park Lodge, isn't it great!? FYI, yrs ago, they were going to have to retire these vehicles due being so old & couldn’t be repaired; so Ford Motor Co stepped in & completely renovated the entire fleet in the entire park!!! At no charge!!! Now, there’s a huge fleet of them throughout the park, mainly for sightseeing!

Isn't it gorgeous? I've managed so many steps this trip - a record of over 4,000 on just one hike! A milestone for me.

Polebridge, 2019

Polebridge, 2019

Polebridge is a tiny town NW of Glacier Park. We visited there because friends of ours who travel to Glacier 3-4 times a year & told us to go there. It has 2 structures only - the bar & the Mercantile, period!

Stroke Study at ASU

I participated in a stroke survivor study at ASU in Tempe in 2018. This was the slip/fall portion of the study where the treadmill’s software simulates a trip/fall experience & you must “recover” from falling. It would be like being on an escalator or moving sidewalk & it abruptly stops & you must recover from a potential fall. Very interesting study!

My First Mile

Walked my 1st mile on the treadmill at SWAN without stopping. (We, the patients, “fondly” called it the DREADMILL!) Tough work for us!

My brother Greg an I

My brother Greg an I

Greg is one of my two older brothers. He's 3 years older. He flew down from Austin to help us during the week I got home from St. Luke's Acute Rehab. I was using a device at the time called a Hemi-Walker ("half"-walker). I also had a sling on my arm to prevent a post-stroke complication called a "shoulder subluxation."
